جلسه دوم و سوم دوره «یادگیری و تفکر سیستمی در مدرسه» به معرفی مهارتهای تفکر سیستمی و کاربردهای آن در مدرسه و راههای تقویت این مهارتها میپردازد.
ساختار سیستم مشخص میکند که چه عواملی عضو سیستم هستند و این عوامل چگونه به هم مربوط هستند. ساختار سیستم «رفتار سیستم» را شکل میدهد.
«نظریه ساختمان سیستم» نقش مهمی در فهم سیستمها دارد و مشخص میکند که چگونه میتوانیم به ساختار سیستمها پی ببریم و آنها را مدل کنیم.
جلسه هفتم دوره «از تفکر سیستمی تا دینامیک سیستمها» به بررسی ساختار حلقه بسته در سیستمها و رفتار حلقههای مثبت و منفی میپردازد.

رفتار سیستم تغییرات مقادیر متغیرهای سیستم در طی زمان را نشان میدهد و با استفاده از «نمودارهای رفتار در طول زمان» نشان داده میشود.
«پشتیبانی» فرآیندی است که طی آن، افراد سعی میکنند مدل ذهنی خودشان را برای دیگران آشکار کنند و توضیح دهند که چگونه به تصمیم خاصی رسیدهاند.
«پیامدهای ناخواسته» نتایجی هستند که از تصمیمها و اقدامهای ما به وجود میآیند اما مورد نظر ما نبودهاند و برای ما مطلوب نیستند.
