فکر سیستمی بر روابط علت و معلولی و اینکه رفتار سیستم واقعا چگونه شکل می گیرد تمرکز دارد.
فکر غیر سیستمی به دنبال فهرست کردن عوامل موثر بر رفتار سیستم است.
«حلقه مثبت» ساختار پایه به وجود آورنده رشد نمایی است و در آن، افزایش در مقدار متغیرهای حالت در حلقه، منجر به افزایش نرخهای ورود حلقه میشود.
«تفکر حلقه بسته» یکی از «مهارتهای تفکر سیستمی» است که باعث میشود به بازخوردهای تصمیمها و اقدامات و اثرات آنها بر اقدامات آینده توجه کنیم.
