«پیامدهای ناخواسته» نتایجی هستند که از تصمیمها و اقدامهای ما به وجود میآیند اما مورد نظر ما نبودهاند و برای ما مطلوب نیستند.
تفکر درونزا (ساختار به عنوان علت) زیربنای تفکر سیستمی است و به این واقعیت اشاره دارد که این «ساختار سیستم» است که «رفتار سیستم» را میسازد.
جلسه ششم دوره «یادگیری و تفکر سیستمی در مدرسه» به روش نام گذاری متغیرها و روابط علت و معلولی بین آنها در نمودارهای سیستمی میپردازد.
«تامل» (Reflection) یعنی سرعت تصمیمگیری و اقدامهایمان را کم کنیم تا بتوانیم بفهمیم چگونه تصمیم میگیریم و چگونه اقدام میکنیم.

«مدل ذهنی» تصویری است که وقتی افراد به موضوعی فکر میکنند، از آن موضوع در ذهن افراد شکل میگیرد و مبنای قضاوت و تصمیمگیری قرار میگیرد.
جلسه سوم دوره «از تفکر سیستمی تا دینامیک سیستمها» به بررسی مقالات و کتابهایی در مورد مهارتها و ابزارهای تفکر سیستمی میپردازد.
تفکر سیستمی یک پارادایم فکری است که جهان را به صورت سیستمهایی به هم پیوسته و در هم تنیده میبیند و به شناخت و تصمیمگیری بهتر در مورد مسایلی که با آنها مواجه هستیم، کمک میکند.
